Is the Z-DEVD-R110 substrate in the EnzChek Caspase-3 Assay Kit #2 cell permeable?
It is not cell permeable. You either have to use this product with cell lysates or extracted, purified caspase-3. Cell permeable alternatives are CellEvent Caspase 3/7 Green Detection Reagent (Cat. Nos. C10423, C10427, or R37111), Image-iT LIVE Red or Green Caspase-3 and -7 Detection Kits (Cat. Nos. I35102 and I35106) and Vybrant FAM Caspase-3 and -7 Assay Kit (Cat. No. V35118).
