iGlow™ Blue Sample Tray

The Invitrogen iGlow Blue Imaging Tray is a sample tray designed for exclusive use with the iGlow Gel Documentation system during Blue LED light source applications. This tray represents one component of a three-tray system that includes UV and white light variants, each corresponding to specific LED light sources within the imager. Upon insertion into the iGlow, the trays are recognized by the instrument, which automatically activates the corresponding imaging options. This tray is required for all Blue applications on the iGlow Gel Documentation System.

Precision Positioning

The Blue sample tray incorporates three large notches that work in conjunction with corresponding locating pins to enable proper tray alignment in the imaging system for consistent results. Integrated sensors in the iGlow system automatically recognize the tray when inserted and activate the corresponding imaging controls, reducing potential for user error.

Advanced Transillumination for Enhanced Sample Visualization

The Blue tray is placed above the imager's transillumination LED array. In that position the tray filters and distributes the light, facilitating uniform illumination across the field of view and high sample visibility for fluorescent detection applications.

Sample Compatibility

The Blue tray supports a wide range of commonly used DNA and protein gel stains, including SYBR Safe, SYBR Gold, SYBR Green, Ethidium Bromide, SYPRO Ruby, SYPRO Red, Coomassie Orange, Flamingo and more. This flexibility enables researchers to use a single platform for a variety of different gel imaging techniques.
