FormLiquid
β-Glycerolphosphate (Glycerol-2-Phosphate) is used in the development of hydrogels and scaffolds that have applications in tissue engineering and cell growth and differentiation. It has also been used as an additive in isolation mediums, similarly providing available phosphate to the isolate. It is a phosphate group donor in matrix mineralization studies that acts as a protein phosphatase inhibitor. Accelerates calcification in vascular smooth muscle cells.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
