Forskolin acts as an adenylyl cyclase activator. It is used in the treatment of hypertension, asthma, eczema, psoriasis, congestive heart failure, angina, stomachache, gastric and intestinal spasm. It also plays an important role in the treatment of rheumatism, heart, blood and circulation conditions and cancers. It is used to induce menstruation and as an oral contraceptive.

What is the solubility of Forskolin 98+%?

Forskolin 98+% is soluble at 6 mg per mL in 95% ethanol and at 25 mM in anhydrous dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). Some solvents, including ethanol, may inhibit the forskolin activation of adenylate cyclase. DMSO is the recommended solvent in preparing forskolin solutions because at concentrations of 5% or less of DMSO, there is little if any inhibition of forskolin activation of adenylate cyclase.
