NBD C6セラミドは、スフィンゴ脂質輸送および代謝メカニズムの研究に使用できます。また、生細胞および固定細胞におけるゴルジ装置の選択的染色剤としても使用されます。ウシ血清アルブミン(BSA)と蛍光脂質を複合体化することで、脂溶性プローブを溶解するための有機溶媒が不要になり、細胞標識が容易になります。BSA複合体化プローブは水に直接溶かすことができます。環境に対して高感度なNBD色素は、水中では弱く蛍光を発しますが、非プロトン性溶媒やその他の非極性環境では最大励起/最大発光波長が約466/536 nmで増加します。
研究用にのみ使用できます。診断用には使用いただけません。
