Speed up your workflow when preparing microbial culture medium for enumerating total viable counts (TVC) in food, milk and dairy products with Thermo Scientific™ Pre-weigh Plate Count Agar. The pre-weighed sachets of Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ dehydrated culture media are designed for single use when preparing 1 L or 8 L volumes of your medium. Save valuable time and start testing quickly by removing the requirement to weigh powder—just rip, tip and pour.

Pre-Weigh Plate Count Agar is equivalent to the medium recommended by the APHA1and the PHLS2 for the plate count of microorganisms in food, milk and other dairy products. It is part of a range of our most frequently used and well-characterized dehydrated culture media which is now available in handy pre-weighed foil packages.

Simply tear open the selected media sachet, add to the required volume of water, mix and autoclave as usual.
