          Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human ApoA-I. Anti-Human ApoA-I-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human ApoA-I matrix.

          Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human ApoA-I by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human ApoA-I (500-P331BT) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human ApoA-I.

          Western Blot: To detect Human ApoA-I by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human ApoA-I is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

          Target Information

          Apolipoprotein A-1 (apo A-1) in human plasma is a major protein component of high density lipoprotein (HDL). The molecular mass is 24 kDa. Apo A-1 is a cofactor for enzymes involved in the normal turnover of cholesterol and is produced in the liver. Plasma concentration is 270-380 mg/100 mL.
