Target Information
GABA-A-R-Gamma2L and GABA-A-R-Gamma2S are two splice variants of the gamma2 subunit of the GABA-A receptor, which is crucial for mediating inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system. The gamma2L (long) variant includes an extra eight amino acids compared to the gamma2S (short) variant, potentially influencing the receptor's synaptic localization and pharmacological properties.
