Product Specific Information
Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 166 µL of sterile water.

Target Information
Ferredoxin 3 is a plant chloroplast iron sulfur protein that transfers electrons from photosystem I to downstream enzymes, helping drive reductive metabolism such as NADP reduction via ferredoxin NADP reductase and pathways including nitrogen and sulfur assimilation. Distinct ferredoxin isoforms show tissue and condition specific expression, with Ferredoxin 3 often associated with stress responsive or specialized electron distribution compared to major photosynthetic ferredoxins. By balancing electron flow among metabolic sinks and photoprotective routes, Ferredoxin 3 contributes to redox homeostasis, regulation of reactive oxygen species, and acclimation to fluctuating light, nutrient status, and environmental stress. Perturbation of its function can alter photosynthetic efficiency, assimilation capacity, and signaling between chloroplasts and the rest of the cell.
