In Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Semaphorin 3A, rhSemaphorin 3B, rhSemaphorin 6A, recombinant mouse (rm) Semaphorin 3E, rmSemaphorin 3F, rmSemaphorin 6A, and rmSemaphorin 7A is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
The SEMA3C gene encodes the protein semaphorin 3C, a member of the semaphorin family known for its roles in axonal guidance, cellular signaling, and vascular development. Semaphorin 3C is involved in guiding neurons during development by serving as a repulsive cue, helping establish proper neural network formation through interaction with neuropilin and plexin receptors. It also plays crucial roles in angiogenesis and cardiac development by influencing endothelial cell behavior and migration. In the context of cancer, SEMA3C is implicated in tumor progression, where its dysregulation can promote tumor cell invasion and metastasis by modifying the extracellular matrix and affecting cellular adhesion. Research has demonstrated that SEMA3C can alter the tumor microenvironment, making it a potential target for cancer therapies aimed at inhibiting metastasis and controlling tumor growth. Understanding SEMA3C's function in various biological processes continues, highlighting its significance in developmental biology and disease modulation.
