          Western blot analysis of PIK3CA in mouse brain lysate using 15 µg of protein. Sample was prepared with 5% milk and TBST, incubated with PIK3CA polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-77798) using a dilution of 1:1000 (2 hours at RT) and followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:3000 (1 hour at RT).           A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77798 was sufficient for detection of PIK3CA in 15 µg of mouse brain cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects 55.7 kDa.

          Target Information

          Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase is composed of an 85 kDa regulatory subunit and a 110 kDa catalytic subunit. The protein encoded by this gene represents the catalytic subunit, which uses ATP to phosphorylate PtdIns, PtdIns4P and PtdIns(4,5)P2. This gene has been found to be oncogenic and has been implicated in cervical cancers.
