RCAN1 Antibody (PA5-142673) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed U2OS cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Samples were incubated with RCAN1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-142673) using a dilution of 10 µg/mL for 1 hr followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL).

Target Information
The RCAN1 protein interacts with calcineurin A and inhibits calcineurin-dependent signaling pathways, possibly affecting central nervous system development. This gene is located in the minimal candidate region for the Down syndrome phenotype, and is overexpressed in the brain of Down syndrome fetuses.
