          EphA4 Antibody (PA5-32754) in ICC/IF

          Immunofluorescence analysis of EPHA4 was performed using NSC and NSCs differentiated to neurons. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature.           Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Marmoset (100%); Dog, Panda, Horse (94%); Bovine, Bat, Hamster, Elephant, Pig, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken (88%); Mouse, Rat, Rabbit, Platypus, Lizard, Xenopus (81%).

          For IHC(P), use heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

          Target Information

          EPHA4 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors have been implicated in mediated developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. The ephrin receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. EphA4 encodes a protein that binds ephrin-A ligands.
