The VIDAS® B·R·A·H·M·S PCT™ is an enzyme-linked fluorescent assay (ELFA) for the determination of human Procalcitonin (PCT) in human serum or plasma (lithium heparinate) on VIDAS instruments from bioMérieux.
VIDAS B·R·A·H·M·S PCT is CE marked and FDA 510(k) cleared.
Assay Characteristics
The VIDAS B·R·A·H·M·S PCT can be distinguished by these characteristics:
Limit of quantitation (LoQ) and limit of detection (LoD) values are rounded to 2 decimal places in alignment with the reported results for the assay.

Correlation to Thermo Scientific™ B·R·A·H·M·S PCT™ sensitive KRYPTOR™.
Test procedure
Type or select “PCT” on the instrument to enter the test code and insert the SPRs (Solid Phase Receptacle) and strips into the instrument. Then pipette calibrator, control or sample into the strip and initiate the assay immediately.
- 200 μL of sample are pipetted into the cavity of the test strip
- Test processing for approximately 20 minutes
- Automatic calculation of result by the system
