Data upload error

If there is an error uploading data to your project an error message will appear.

Error message:

Solution

Experiment file 'Your File Name.eds' can not be added due to:

  • This experiment's instrument type is incompatible with this project's instrument type.

  • This experiment's block type is incompatible with this project's block type.

  1. Click OK to return to the project page.

  2. Click the Pencil icon to view the drop down menu and select Edit project.

  3. Correct the appropriate project info field.

  4. Re-upload your data file(s).

Experiment file 'Your File Name.txt' can not be added due to:

  • This file's result does not conform to the 7900 exported result format.

  • This file's result does not conform to single dye per well plate.

  1. Ensure that the instructions provided at lifetechnologies.com/scorecardhelp for export of 7900 HT data files have been closely followed.

  2. Open the .txt file in Excel®.

  3. Verify that the columns contain the following data:

    • Column A: Well number (in numerical order from 1–96 or 1–384)

    • Column B: Sample name

    • Column C: Detector name

    • Column D: Reporter (value is always FAM)

    • Column E: Task

    • Column F: Ct

  4. Sort the spreadsheet by well number, then resave as a .txt file.

  5. Repeat the data upload process.
