Applications
Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate is widely utilized as a fertilizer, which provides phosphorous and nitrogen for plants. It is used as a dry fire extinguisher. It is a well known nonlinear optical material for various optoelectronic applications. It is also used in an emerald green, amethyst and aquamarine crystal growing box kit for children.

Solubility
Soluble in water. Slightly soluble in alcohol. Insoluble in acetone.

Notes
Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong acids and sodium hypochlorite.
