Applications
Pentamethyldisiloxane is used in the synthesis of siloxane-polyether copolymer surfactants. It is also used as source of trimethylsilyl functional group in organic synthesis.

Solubility
Not miscible or difficult to mix in water.

Notes
It is sensitive to moisture. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store under dry inert gas. Incompatible with oxidizing agents.
