MA1-20360 detects P-Cadherin in human samples. MA1-20360 inhibits P cadherin dependent cell-cell contact.
MA1-20360 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (frozen), inhibition assays and Western blot procedures. Predicted molecular weight by Western blot is 91.4 kDa.
The MA1-20360 immunogen is human epidermal carcinoma cell line A431.
Cadherins are calcium dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.

The fate of E- and P-cadherin during the early stages of apoptosis.
MA1-20360 was used in western blot to investigate cisplatin-induced apoptosis in human embryo retinoblasts.
