HAPLN1 stabilizes the aggregates of proteoglycan monomers with hyaluronic acid in the extracellular cartilage matrix. Diseases associated with HAPLN1 include Cerebral Creatine Deficiency Syndrome 3 and Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Juvenile.
