PA1-18271 detects Sequestosome 1 from human samples. This antibody is expected to cross react with mouse, rat, and bovine Sequestosome 1, due to sequence homology.
PA1-18271 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western blot procedures.
The PA1-18271 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal residues I(424) G A A L D T I Q Y S K H(436) of human Sequestosome 1, conjugated to the Blue Carrier Protein.
After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20ºC for a higher stability, and at 4ºC with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.
Reconstitute with 100 µL of distilled water. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.
This gene encodes a multifunctional protein that binds ubiquitin and regulates activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B signaling pathway. The protein functions as a scaffolding/adaptor protein in concert with TNF receptor-associated factor 6 to mediate activation of NF-kB in response to upstream signals. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding either the same or different isoforms have been identified for this gene. Mutations in this gene result in sporadic and familial Paget disease of bone.
