Webseal Webinar

Contamination and adsorption on well plates for chromatography

Join us on June 28, 2017, for a FREE webinar

Want to transition from chromatography glass vials to well plates? Is it possible to handle more samples in less time with existing equipment?

This FREE webinar will answer those questions and present tools and suggestions to successfully and easily use well plates instead of autosampler glass vials, while ensuring reproducibility in results. In the process, you will learn all the benefits of well plate platforms, including:

  • Multi-pipette usage
  • Less space consumption compared to racks with vials
  • Easy sample transfer from bio-robots
  • Automated sample preparation

Webinar topics include:

  • Switching from a glass container to plastic:
        What needs to be considered?
  • What to do when volumes and dimensions of the cavities are different:
Is sample volume and needle adjustment is necessary?
  • Sealing of the plate cavities using low boiling solvents is key for reproducibility:
Does the material of the seal need to be solvent stable must provide a tight fit?

Wellplates – a great solution for high-throughput screening laboratories

Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a comprehensive range of superior 96- and 384- well plates for complex and routine analyses (UHPLC, LC, and GC) in high-throughput screening laboratories. These plates show nearly zero extraction with methanolic solutions as the raw material is a medical grade polypropylene with good solvent compatibility and minimal additives.

  • No leeching from this high-end material
  • Chromatography tested for solvent compatibility and inertness
  • Handle more samples in less time
  • Low volume and high recovery cavity
