PA1-27796 detects GC4 from human and mouse samples.
PA1-27796 may be successfully used in Western blot applications. By Western blot, this antibody has only been tested on fusion protein.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to human N-myc downstream regulated gene 1 variant.
This gene is a member of the N-myc downregulated gene family which belongs to the alpha/beta hydrolase superfamily. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic protein involved in stress responses, hormone responses, cell growth, and differentiation. It is necessary for p53-mediated caspase activation and apoptosis. Mutation in this gene has been reported to be causative for hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy-Lom. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
