PA1-26724 detects Insulin Receptor / IGF1R (phospho Y1162, Y1163) from human samples. PA1-26724 is expected to cross react with mouse (100% conserved) and rat (100% conserved) due to sequence homology.
PA1-26724 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26724 immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to a portion of Insulin Receptor/IGF1R containing tyrosines 1162 and 1163 of human insulin receptor (tyrosines 1135 and 1136 in IGF1R).
IGF-1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Receptor) consists of alpha- and beta-subunits, which are disulfide-linked in a beta-alpha-alpha-beta configuration in the mature receptor. The alpha-subunit is completely extracellular, while the beta-subunit spans the membrane and the intracellular portion has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity.
