Western blot analysis of Phospho-STXBP1 pSer241 in mouse hippocampal lysate using a Phospho-STXBP1 pSer241 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-35398). Results show a band at ~65kDa. Phosphospecificity is shown in the second lane where immunolabeling is blocked by treatment of the lysate with lambda phosphatase (P-tase) (30 minutes, 800 units/1 mg protein).

This gene encodes a syntaxin-binding protein. The encoded protein appears to play a role in release of neurotransmitters via regulation of syntaxin, a transmembrane attachment protein receptor.
