MA5-13087 targets Syk Signalling Protein in IHC (P), IP, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The MA5-13087 immunogen is synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 313-339 of human Syk protein.
Syk, a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) is expressed in immature T cells, all B cells, basophils, hepatocytes, platelets, and erythrocytes. It functions in some T cell receptor signalling processes in addition to B cell receptor and integrin-mediated signal transduction processes. syk-/syk- mice exhibit defective phagocytosis by macrophages.

Kinetic assay for characterization of spleen tyrosine kinase activity and inhibition with recombinant kinase and crude cell lysates.
MA5-13087 was used in blocking or activating experiment to develop and evaluate an Syk activity assay
