MRSL has genotyped more than one million samples and called about 650 billion genotypes. Whether you have an existing array in mind or want to build an array from scratch, our bioinformatics experts will guide you every step of the way.

Our services include:

• High-quality genotyping—we utilize advanced workflows and multiple quality control (QC) steps to facilitate the highest standard of data integrity. Our Applied Biosystems Axiom Propel workflow enables high-throughput volumes while maintaining exceptional quality.
• Quality control and analysis—our robust verification protocols include incoming sample QC, sample QC during processing, and data analysis QC/review. We do not take shortcuts and adhere to best practice workflows to help deliver reliable results.
• Data deliverables—we provide more than just raw data. Our deliverables include raw data files (CEL, AAR, JPEG), analyzed data compatible with Axiom Analysis Suite, library files, project summary reports, and flexible data delivery options (cloud, Microsoft Teams™, Box™ platform).
• Project management—we offer dedicated project management services, including biweekly progress meetings if needed, to help ensure your project stays on track and meets your objectives

Array customization services

MRSL offers a range of customization services to cater to the specific needs of your research. Axiom myDesign arrays allow flexible access to custom genotyping for small and large studies. They are supported by a world-class design team for fast design and delivery. Our Axiom myDesign Array Genotyping Services enable you to create fully- or semi-customized genotyping arrays for agrigenomics or human genotyping applications.

Based on the universal workflow of the Axiom Genotyping Solution, Axiom myDesign Arrays offer unprecedented scale and flexibility to design the most optimal array for your species of interest.  Fully or semi-customized arrays containing 1,500 to 2.6 million markers can be designed and available in as few as six weeks after SNP lockdown.

Our customization process includes:

• Custom array design—we support a variety of custom array designs through our Axiom myDesign custom research arrays. Our design tiers include Standard, Premium, and Premium Plus, each offering varying levels of support and complexity to match your research requirements.
  • Standard Design: ideal for routine designs with limited bioinformatics involvement. Suitable for users looking for quick and efficient solutions.
  • Premium Design: includes complex design support for single or multi-species arrays and bioinformatics expertise for more challenging content or difficult submissions
  • Premium Plus Design: white-glove service for clinical research customers, offering comprehensive bioinformatics design for highly complex and valuable content
• Flexible content submissions—we offer flexible content submissions and support, including modular updates and full customization options. Our imputation-aware design facilitates accurate and reliable results for complex content submissions. This includes low minimums for as few as 480 samples and small repeat orders.
• Specialized services—our specialized services include handling difficult markers, novel marker design, and PGx content with translation tables. We also offer multi-species designs, screening arrays, and multi-peg designs with no restrictions on number of markers per species, to cater to diverse research needs.
• Bioinformatics expertise—our team of dedicated bioinformatics specialists is ready to assist you throughout the design process, ensuring your array meets your specific requirements. We provide support for trending across batches, copy number discovery, HLA, imputation, and familial matching.
• Rapid custom array delivery—custom arrays can be delivered in as little as six weeks, ensuring that your research progresses without unnecessary delays
• Consistent supply with no SNPs dropped—each SNP is manufactured with a high degree of precision utilizing photolithographic templates. This helps ensure identical SNP content at any time and for as long as your research necessitates.
• Multi-species arrays—with the ability to incorporate up to five species in a single array, multi-species arrays enable one array to be used for multiple projects, thereby optimizing budgets

• Axiom Mini 96 myDesign Custom Arrays: 1,500 to 50,000 markers per array, 96 arrays per plate
• Axiom 384HT myDesign Custom Arrays: 1,500 to 50,000 markers per array, 384 arrays per plate
• Axiom myDesign Genotyping Arrays: 300 to 2.6 million SNPs for validation and genome-wide association studies; 96 or 24 arrays per plate; multiple array designs can be used for large studies
