The Elongase® Amplification System is ideal for amplifying DNA fragments up to 30 kb from purified DNA or crude samples (1). The enzyme mix is an optimized mixture of recombinant thermostable DNA polymerases, Taq DNA polymerase, and the proofreading (3'-5' exonuclease activity) enzyme Pyrococcus species GB-D polymerase (Figure 1).

Elongase® Amplification System and Enzyme Mix provides:

• Five-times higher fidelity than Taq DNA polymerase alone
• A buffer system that allows amplification of simple and complex genomic targets
• Amplification of long PCR templates or cDNA templates in RT-PCR applications (2)

Elongase® Enzyme Mix is supplied with 5X buffer A and 5X buffer B. PCR SuperMix High Fidelity is supplied in a 1.1X concentration. It contains Elongase® Enzyme Mix, dNTPs, salts, and MgSO4. Store at -20°C. Guaranteed stable for 6 months when properly stored.
