Thermo Scientific Pierce Ninhydrin is a classic, amine-reactive, colorimetric detection reagent for protein detection and amino acid analysis.

Features of Ninhydrin:

• For post-column amino acid derivatization for colorimetric detection with millimolar sensitivity
• Reacts with all primary amine-containing analytes to yield colored derivatives (λmax = 440nm)
• Stable indefinitely; no refrigeration required; keep bottle tightly sealed; avoid exposure to direct sunlight and ammonia
