Remove high levels of alkaline earth and transition metals, neutralize basic samples, and filter particulates with the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ Guardcap™ H vial caps. Designed for use with Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ AS-DV Autosampler PolyVials, Dionex Guardcap H vial caps contain sulfonated strong cation exchange resin in the hydronium form that is embedded in a high density polyethylene matrix. Dionex Guardcap H vial caps seamlessly integrate automated inline sample preparation into your existing sample workflow without the need for additional labor, time, and complexity.

Each Guardcap H vial cap:
  • Removes 1000mg/L divalent cation (e.g., calcium or transition metals) from 800µL of sample
  • Neutralizes up to 500µL of 50mM NaOH or other base
  • Filters more than 80% of particulate matter greater than 20µm in diameter

Convenient and Easy to Use

Dionex Guardcap H vial caps come in the familiar filter cap format used with Dionex PolyVials. If you can load a filter cap on a Dionex PolyVial, you can use Dionex Guardcap H for automated inline sample preparation. Unlike Dionex OnGuard™ II H cartridges, Dionex Guardcap H vial caps require no pretreatment procedures prior to use.
