Which amino acids should be used to calculate repetitive yields in sequencing?

You can use the hydrophobic amino acids, LEU, ILE, VAL, ALA, LYS, PHE, and fairly well-recovered hydrophilic amino acids, GLN, GLY. Other amino acids, especially GLU, SER, THR, TRP, and MET have less efficient recovery due to side reactions of Edman chemistry. HIS, ARG and PRO, have poor yields for other reasons and their yields are not a reliable indication of instrument performance.
