Description

The TaqMan® Array Rodent MicroRNA A+B Cards Set v3.0 is a two card set containing a total of 384 TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays per card. The set enables accurate quantitation of 641 and 373 unique microRNAs for mouse and rat respectively in as little as 5 hours. Included on each array is three TaqMan® MicroRNA Assay endogenous controls for each species to aid in data normalization and one TaqMan® MicroRNA Assay not related to rodent as a negative control. Detail on the included assays is available in the Target List file. Purchase of the Megaplex™ RT Primers, Rodent Pool Set v3.0 is required to run this array set. An additional preamplification step is enabled by Megaplex™ PreAmp Primers, Rodent Pool Set v3.0 for situations where sensitivity is of the utmost importance and/or sample is limiting.

TaqMan® Array MicroRNA Cards provide all the advantages of TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays in a convenient, pre-configured microfluidic card, minimizing the experimental variability and effort required to run 384 TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays in parallel.

Megaplex™ RT Primers are highly multiplexed RT primers designed to convert up to 381 miRNAs to cDNA prior to real-time analysis, and are required to run the TaqMan® Array MicroRNA Card. For greater sensitivity, or when working with limited sample, Megaplex™ PreAmp Primers provide an optional preamplification step prior to real-time analysis. TaqMan® Array MicroRNA Cards and Megaplex™ Primer Pools enable a comprehensive expression profile consistent with Sanger miRBase v14 (human) and v15 (rodent) to be created in as little as 5 hours, providing the ideal miRNA profiling solution. Key product features:

Highly specific—quantitate only the biologically active mature miRNAs

Highly streamlined workflow reduces the number of RT (reverse transcription) reactions per sample
Simplify sample handling and increase sample throughput
Coverage for human, mouse and rat species
An ideal miRNA profiling solution

Simplify Sample Handling and Increase Sample Throughput
Following reverse transcription of miRNA targets using Megaplex™ RT Primers and optional preamplification using Megaplex™ PreAmp Primers, TaqMan® Universal PCR Master Mix II is simply combined with each reaction and pipetted into each sample loading port in the TaqMan® Array Card, simplifying sample handling and increasing sample throughput.

Provides Comprehensive Coverage of Sanger miRBase
Megaplex™ RT Pools and PreAmp Primers are available for human and rodent species, and consist of pre-selected and matched content across a series of primer pools and TaqMan® Array Cards. The content is derived from miRBase v14 and v15 for human and rodent species respectively, providing close to full coverage of Sanger with the most up-to-date TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays.
