Description

A compound has been shown to reversibly block voltage-dependent potassium channels. Also a common impurity from the synthesis of compounds found in hair dye. Used as a water miscible solvent and as an intermediate in manufacturing pharmaceuticals like diuretics. It is used as a research tool, in characterizing subtypes of the potassium channel.
