1-Bromohexadecane is used in the preparation of soluble carbon nano-onions by covalent functionalization with hexadecyl chains, as extraction solvent in determination of endocrine-disrupting phenols (EDPs) in water samples by ultrasound-assisted emulsification microextraction method.
