Each Genexus GX 5 chip can accommodate up to 6 DNA/RNA samples, or 5 samples and 1 no-template control.

Oncomine Comprehensive Assay v3 GX (Cat. No. A46296) includes the following components:
- OCAv3 DNA Pool 1 (position 1, white cap) (4 tubes, 140 µL/tube), for 16 sequencing reactions (4 reactions per tube)
- OCAv3 DNA Pool 2 (position 1, white cap) (4 tubes, 140 µL/tube), for 16 sequencing reactions (4 reactions per tube)
- OCAv3 RNA Pool 1 (position 1, white cap) (4 tubes, 70 µL/tube), for 16 sequencing reactions (4 reactions per tube)
- OCAv3 RNA Pool 2 (position 1, white cap) (4 tubes, 70 µL/tube), for 16 sequencing reactions (4 reactions per tube)
- Genexus Strip 1 (2 x 8 strips), for 2 x 32 sequencing reactions (4 single‑pool reactions/strip)
- Genexus Strip 2-AS (2 x 8 strips), for 2 x 32 sequencing reactions (4 single‑pool reactions/strip)

Robust performance is observed from as little as 10 ng of nucleic acid input per pool (20 ng of DNA and 20 ng of RNA) isolated from FFPE samples, including fine needle biopsies.

Oncomine Comprehensive Assay v3 GX (Cat. No. A46296) is a targeted, next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay that enables the detection of single-nucleotide variants (SNVs), insertions and deletions (INDELs), copy number variations (CNVs), and gene fusions from 161 unique genes. The assay is optimized for use with formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) samples. The assay kit provides 4 pools of multiplex PCR primers (2 pools for the DNA assay and 2 pools for the RNA assay) and library reagents sufficient to perform up to sixteen 2-pool or eight 4-pool reactions on the Genexus Integrated Sequencer, using the Ion Genexus GX5 Chip.
