Ion 560™ Kit - Chef

Ion 560™ Kit – Chef is used with the Ion 560™ Chip for automated template preparation, chip loading, and sequencing of up to 200-base-read libraries on the Ion Chef™ System and the Ion GeneStudio™ S5 Plus or Ion GeneStudio™ S5 Prime systems. The kit uses pre-packaged template preparation and sequencing reagent cartridges with integrated sample and reagent tracking to support up to eight Ion 560™ Chips.

Use the Ion 560™ Kit – Chef for standard dual-chip templating runs or flexible single-chip templating runs. When used with the Ion 560™ Single Chip Supplemental Kit (Cat. No. A56412), the workflow allows preparation of one or two loaded Ion 560™ Chips per Ion Chef™ run without loss of templating reagents.

The Ion 560™ Workflow is designed to help labs:

• Expand sequencing capacity with 240–280 million reads per chip
• Sequence supported libraries with read lengths up to 200 bases
• Scale supported Ion Chef™ and Ion GeneStudio™ workflows while maintaining the familiar Ion Torrent™ sequencing process
• Maintain chip-level sample tracking with an integrated chip barcode

Notes:

• The Ion 560™ Kit – Chef is compatible with the Ion Chef™ System, Ion GeneStudio™ S5 Plus System, and Ion GeneStudio™ S5 Prime System.
• Torrent Suite™ Software v5.22 or later is required.
• Ion Reporter™ Software v5.22 or later is required for compatible Ion Reporter™ analysis workflows.
• The Ion 560™ Chip must be used with the Ion 560™ Kit – Chef for automated template preparation, chip loading, and sequencing.
