Can EVOS Light Cube, QDOT WB 525-800 2.0 (Cat. No. AMEP4966), be used to image other dyes, besides Qdots?
The ability to use EVOS Light Cube, QDOT WB 525-800 2.0 (Cat. No. AMEP4966) to image other dyes besides Qdots depends on the excitation/emission characteristics of the dye. QDOT cubes are excited at 445 nm and have a 514 nm long-pass filter. If the dye fits within these spectral characteristics, the dye can be imaged with the EVOS Light Cube, QDOT WB 525-800 2.0 (Cat. No. AMEP4966). However, other EVOS Light Cubes (e.g., GFP, RFP, etc.) are usually more suitable.
