Selectively enrich Arcobacter species with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Acrobacter Broth Base (Dehydrated) when used with either CAT Selective Supplement(SR0174) or CCDA Selective Supplement (SR0155).

Arcobacter Broth is intended for use with Cefoperazone, Amphotericin B, Teicoplanin (CAT) Selective Supplement (SR0174) as a selective enrichment broth for the growth of Arcobacter species and with the more selective CCDA (SR0155) for the selective enrichment of Arcobacter butzleri.

Arcobacters are micro aerophilic, Gram-negative rods, which were formerly classified as Campylobacter1. Arcobacter butzleri, Arcobacter cryaerophilus, and Arcobacter skirrowii have been associated with disease in humans2,3, and typically are isolated from fecal samples.
