3-Sulfo-N-succinimidyl 4-(maleimidomethyl)cyclohexane-1-carboxylate sodium salt is a cross-linking reagent incorporating an extended spacer with amine and sulfhydryl reactivity. Typically, coupled initially to molecules containing primary amines by amide bonds buffered at pH 7.5 (6.5-8.5). Second coupling specific for molecules containing free sulfhydryl by thioether linkage buffered at pH 6.8 (6.5-7.0). Useful for preparation of enzyme immunoconjugates and hapten carrier molecule conjugates.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
