Although no software package can be said to be compliant with respect to 21 CFR Part 11, Qtegra ISDS Software provides the required tools to implement the correct (procedural, administrative and technical) controls to be compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 for ICP-OES, Quadrupole ICP-MS and Gas IRMS systems. It includes tools to facilitate access control, generate different user levels, create audit trails and support for electronic signatures. All these features are an integral part of Qtegra ISDS Software and do not require additional software packages to be installed.
The Qtegra ISDS system is designed for seamless, universal integration with LIMS systems. Sample information can be taken into the analytical workflow in various ways, for example through external data files, or from (bar or QR) digital codes from samples presented for analysis. Data can be automatically reported (using flexible, user-defined templates), exported or printed, either directly after each sample is analyzed or as a complete data set.

Qtegra ISDS Software contains a series of functions to support analysts through automation of tasks in their routine workflow (for specific instruments only). One example is Get Ready, which automates plasma start and performance verification of the system at user defined times for Thermo Scientific iCAP MX Series ICP-MS systems. The iCAP MX Series ICP-MS systems also include the HAWK Consumable and Maintenance Assistant, which notifies analysts when maintenance is required. The Step Ahead function allows analysts to overlap data acquisition with rinsing of the autosampler needle, increasing sample throughput by up to 25% when using the Thermo Scientific iSC-65 autosampler. For isotope analysis using Thermo Scientific DELTA Q IRMS, Qtegra ISDS Software supports seamless switching between different peripherals (e.g., EA and GC), avoiding downtime and manual interventions. For Thermo Scientific GasBench Plus IRMS System, Qtegra ISDS Software allows for automated sampling and sample preparation switching between trays, increasing the number of samples that can be processed.
Qtegra ISDS Software is instrument-agnostic software that offers a single platform for both elemental and isotope analysis. This software offers the same workflow, functionality and look and feel across multiple instruments. Analysts can flexibly switch between different techniques, eliminating the hassle of having to learn a completely new software package when, for example, introducing new instruments to the laboratory.
