Cloxacillin sodium salt is used to treat infections caused by penicillin G-resistant staphylococci. It has been used in studies of topical antibacterial agent for burn and crush wounds. It is used as an AmpC β-lactamase inhibitor in combination with β-lactam antibiotics.
