QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-Time PCR System (OpenArray Block) Certified Instrument Operator Training, 1 day, customer site
Learn the fundamental knowledge necessary to keep the QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-Time PCR System with OpenArray block running according to manufacturer’s specifications. This course is conducted at the participant’s location and provides professional, interactive education that includes classroom training delivered by a Field Application Scientist (FAS). Covered topics include instrument software, instrument calibrations, system verification, and basic instrument maintenance recommended between visits from a Field Service Engineer (FSE). At the conclusion of this training, participants should be able to:
• Explain basic concepts of what occurs in a qPCR reaction and how the instrument uses signal from the reaction to generate data
• Demonstrate key features of the instrument software, including setting up an experimental run and checking calibration and maintenance status
• Describe the importance of and perform instrument calibration and system verification• Perform basic instrument maintenance functions
Certification
Attendees passing a skills assessment with a score of 80% or higher will earn an Instrument Operator Certificate granted by the Thermo Fisher Scientific Service and Support Training Department.
Additionally, participants successfully completing this training course will be eligible for 6 contact hours through the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science’s (ASCLS) Professional Acknowledgment for Continuing Education (P.A.C.E.®) program.
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Training Center is an approved provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
Tuition includes*:
• Trainer travel expenses
• Calibration kit and RNase P kit
• Maximum 2 people per training
*The participant is responsible for providing an appropriate training facility, QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-Time PCR System with OpenArray block, and basic laboratory equipment (e.g., pipettes, plate sealers or film, plates, centrifuge, etc.).
