To add an infinite hold, set the time for the hold to 99.59'. The screen should then default to the infinity symbol for your hold.
No, the GeneAmp PCR System 9700 does not have a gradient feature. Our newer thermal cyclers including the ProFlex PCR System and Veriti Thermal Cycler have better-than-gradient VeriFlex Blocks.
The AutoDelta feature allows you to incrementally increase or decrease the temperature or hold time with each cycle for a given step within a cycling stage. One common application for this is touchdown PCR.
