Description

pHrodo® Green Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) Conjugate is used for the detection of internalized EGF receptor in cells. Fluorescently labeled EGF has enabled scientists to investigate receptor-membrane interactions, study receptor distribution, calculate rate constants for the interaction of EGF with its receptor, and more. Fluorescent labels that respond to a pH change add another level of detection. pHrodo® Green is weakly fluorescent outside of cells at neutral pH, but when internalized specifically through EGF endocytosis, it becomes brightly fluorescent in the acidic endosomes. This allows the measurement of internalized EGF, as well as the dynamic monitoring of EGF internalization in live cells.

Features of this EGF conjugate include:

• pHrodo® Green dye conjugated directly to highly active human recombinant EGF molecule
• Excitation/emission of 509/533 nm
• Excellent photostability
• Appropriate for multiplexing with red and deep red fluorophores such as RFP, Alexa Fluor® 594, MitoTracker® Red, and MitoTracker® Deep Red

pHrodo® Green Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) Conjugate is compatible with various platforms, such as traditional fluorescence microscopy, high content screening (HCS), flow cytometery, and microplate-based fluorimetry or high throughput screening (HTS). This reagent is also compatible with various benchtop instruments such as the Evos®, FLoid™, Tali™, and Attune™ instruments.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
