The Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell lines were introduced in the 1960-s and has become an extremely important tool for biomedical research biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Plate Map Ensures Proper Data Labeling and Easy Re-Ordering
Each pack of TaqMan® Array Plates is shipped with a CD containing the plate configuration map (see Figure 2) along with the details of each TaqMan®Assay. This information is imported into the real-time PCR instrument to enable proper labeling of experimental data and easy access to Assay ID numbers for simple reordering.

Simple to Use
Each TaqMan® Array Plate well contains a single TaqMan®Assay for one 20 µl reaction. The plates can be stored at room temperature or at 4°C. When you are ready to run your assays, simply add PCR master mix and your cDNA sample, seal the plate, and begin cycling on a real-time PCR instrument.

Compatibility
TaqMan® Array Plates have been optimized for use with TaqMan® Gene Expression Master Mix, but are also compatible with TaqMan® Universal PCR Master Mix. We offer several tools to help you in your data analysis, including GeneChip Expression Console; software, the NetAffx Analysis Center, and the Integrated Genome Browser (IGB).

Expression Console Software is an easy-to-use application that enables probe set summarization as well as preliminary data quality evaluation. A simple workflow enables the user to quickly analyze the data (see figure). The resulting data can be further analyzed using software applications from GeneChip-compatible™ software providers.

The NetAffx Analysis Center, with regularly updated biological and functional annotations of probe sets, is the most comprehensive resource for array annotations and probe sequence information. Flexible query tools and external links allow researchers to drill down into genes and annotations of interest. Workflow

Axiom™ Multispecies Plant Genotyping Array, (384HT format) Applied Biosystems&trade

The Axiom Multispecies Plant Genotyping Array was designed in collaboration with Drs. Dario Grattapaglia and Orzenil B. Silva Junior, research scientists connected to Embrapa and Universidade Catolica de Brasilia, Brazil, with funding from CNPq grants. This array is also available in mini-96 format.

The TaqMan® OpenArray® Human Stem Cell Panel is an efficient, easy-to-use OpenArray® plate for the characterization of undifferentiated stem cells or their differentiated derivatives. This gene signature panel targets 609 well-defined genes validated as markers for pluripotency, plus 22 endogenous control genes. The gene content of this OpenArray® plate resulted directly from the work of the I.S.C.I consortium and characterization of human embryonic stem cell lines by the International Stem Cell Initiative.

The plate is pre-formatted and inventoried, cost-effective, convenient, and easy-to-use, without the need for expensive robotics. Results are reproducible and consistent across samples, studies, and labs—for the same data quality from plate-to-plate and lot-to-lot, even with different operators.

The Right Targets
This OpenArray® plate uses the proprietary Applied Biosystems® OpenArray® technology to simultaneously analyze gene expression levels by quantitative PCR for 609 test genes and 22 endogenous controls.

Genes were included based on the following criteria:

• Expression in human embryonal carcinoma cells (hEC), primordial germ cells, or human ES (hES) cells
• Known role in maintenance of pluripotency in hES cells
• Identification in microplate-based experiments as being correlated with the stem cell state
• Expression known to be characteristic of specific differentiation lineages in the post implantation embryo and mature tissues

This panel is intended for use with the QuantStudio™ 12K Flex Real-time PCR system which can cycle and image 4 pates simultaneously, providing high-throughput results with ease.
