The List Price* changes and FAQs relate to Thermo Scientific Life Science Products

Please find below some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) which should answer any queries you may have. For further information please contact your local Account Manager who will be happy to help.

1. Why are you changing the List Prices on May 1^st, 2023 for Thermo Scientific Next Generation Sequencing, Oncology, Pharma Analytics, Capture Select and Poros products?
   The List Price changes, and effective dates take into account the continued cost increases and significant inflationary pressures. While we have endeavoured to protect you as much as possible from those pressures, absorbing costs where we could, we are now at a point where we are reluctantly uplifting our 2023 prices on Thermo Fisher Scientific Next Generation Sequencing (e.g. Ion Torrent™), Oncology, Pharma Analytics (e.g. MicroSeq, Glycan), Capture Select and Poros products (e.g. Affinity)* effective May 1st 2023.
   
   
2. What are the List Price average increases and when will they next be updated?
   The change in price differs per product line but it averages at ~5% on total sales. We are hoping to maintain the updated List Prices effective May 1^st, 2023 throughout 2023 depending on market conditions.
   
   
3. When will new List Prices be available?
   All new List Prices can be viewed online at thermofisher.com starting May 1^st, 2023. For further information, please contact your Account Manager.
   
   
4. When can I see a copy of my updated account quotation and how will my prices change?
   Any Customer Annual Account Quotations will be updated as part of the renewal process, with new net prices effective May 1^st, 2023. A copy will be sent to you by your local Account Manager.
   
   
5. Can I obtain a copy of my country price list?
   We do not publish country price lists however our pricing is available on our website or through your Account Manager.
   
   
6. When should I upload the quote price file onto our system?
   Please work with your Account Manager to ensure that you load your new Account Quotation net pricing before May 1^st, 2023. This will help alleviate any order processing delays once the new pricing goes live.
   
   
7. I am a B2B customer with an electronic catalogue, is the process different for me?
   The only additional steps in the B2B process involve loading and approving an updated 2023 e-catalogue via the 3rd party provider. Your Account Manager will be in contact in due course and allow sufficient time for your system to be updated.
   
   
8. How are the rest of Thermo Fisher Scientific product portfolio prices affected by this announcement?
   
   The change announced here only affects the life sciences solutions Next Generation Sequencing (e.g. Ion Torrent), Oncology, Pharma Analytics (e.g. MicroSeq, Glycan), Capture Select and Poros products (e.g. Affinity) portfolio*. For other Thermo Fisher Scientific products, please contact the relevant local Account Manager.
   
   
9. I order through an authorised distributor, am I affected by this price increase?
   Please contact your local distributor for their latest price list.
   
   
10. What are the freight policy changes going to be?
    Thermo Fisher Scientific reviews its freight policy on an annual basis and adjusts it accordingly to offset any rising business costs. At this point in time freight charges will remain as communicated in January 2023. Thermo Fisher Scientific continues to work diligently to contain these costs and will monitor the changing market conditions to ensure our policy enables us to retain the levels of service our customers expect.
