Due to the globalization of the food industry and the large number of pesticide residues used worldwide, multiresidue methods offer a great advantage allowing analysis of hundreds of pesticides in a single run. During this presentation, we will discuss the implementation of a multiresidue method for semi-quantitation and screening of pesticide residues utilizing Thermo Scientific Orbitrap ID-X Tribrid mass spectrometer and AcquireX intelligent MSn data acquisition strategy for automatic background exclusion. We will present how this workflow improves pesticide screening and confirmation at low concentration levels. Quantitation data will also be presented and discussed.
Anastasia Kalli, Senior Product Applications Specialist, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Anastasia is a Senior Product Application Specialist in the Food and Beverage Marketing Group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. She obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Michigan and completed her post-doctoral research at the Division of Biology at California Institute of Technology. She has extensive experience in mass spectrometry including, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, clinical research and food safety. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, she worked at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, as a Senior Research Associate, at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
