Reactivity was confirmed via Western Blot analysis on the following samples containing added purified luciferase protein: mouse heart, liver, kidney, and cortex tissues. There was no cross reactivity to mouse heart, NIH3T3, Jurkat, and human fibroblasts. In IHC (frozen tissue) and Immunofluorescence applications, this antibody is able to detect tissue specific expression of Luciferase protein in Drosophila embryos using the well-characterized Gal4-UAS system with two different Gal4 drivers.
Luciferase produces green light with the wavelength of 562 nm. Luciferase catalyzes the reaction: D-firefly luciferin + O2 + ATP = firefly oxyluciferin + CO2 + AMP + diphosphate + light.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
Protein Aliases: Firefly Luciferase; Fluc; Genji firefly; Green Luciferase; Japanese firefly; luc; LUC1; luciferin 4-monooxygenase; Photinus pyralis; photinus pyralis luciferase; Pp-Luc; PpyLuc1
