Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IGF-BP7. Anti-Human IGF-BP7-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human IGF-BP7 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IGF-BP7 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IGF-BP7 (500-P234Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IGF-BP7.

Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-binding protein (IGFBP) family. IGFBPs bind IGFs with high affinity, and regulate IGF availability in body fluids and tissues and modulate IGF binding to its receptors. This protein binds IGF-I and IGF-II with relatively low affinity, and belongs to a subfamily of low-affinity IGFBPs. It also stimulates prostacyclin production and cell adhesion. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, and one variant has been associated with retinal arterial macroaneurysm.
