PA1-21615 detects CCR6 in human samples. This antibody does not detect mouse CCR6.
PA1-21615 has been successfully used in ELISA, western blot, and immunohistochemistry (paraffin) procedures.
The PA1-21615 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues Y(18) F V S V N T S Y Y S V D S E M L L C S L Q E V R Q F S R(46) of human CCR6.
Receptors for the C-C chemokine family include CCR-1, CCR-2A, CCR-3, CCR-4, CCR-5 and the Duffy blood group antigen. The C-C receptors are important in the function of T cell chemotaxis and migration of phagocytic cells to sites of inflammation. CCR6 in particular is a G-protein-coupled receptor that binds MIP-3a. It is expressed on T cells, B cells and subsets of dendritic cells. It has been implicated in the adaptive immune response.
