Product Specific Information
Nordic-MUbio fluorochrome labeled antibodies are designed for use with either whole blood or isolated mononuclear cell (MNC) preparations.
For stability reasons this monoclonal antibody solution contains sodium azide. These reagents should be stored at 2-8°C (DO NOT FREEZE!) and protected from prolonged exposure to light. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance or the concentration of the product.
Target Information
This type 2 fucosylated carbohydrate antigen is expressed on the surface of all myeloid cells during development. Moreover, CD65 is expressed highly on granulocytes and weakly on monocytes in peripheral blood. CD65 has been reported to be a ligand for CD62E (E-Selectin). However, the sialylated form of CD65 (designated CD65s) can be used as a marker for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) as its expression increases as CD34 decreases. Finally, CD65 is important for extravascular infiltration of AML cells.
